Immunity-inflammation

New Approaches to Immunomodulation and Diagnostics

Speakers:

Alison Manchester, DVM, MS, DACVIM (SAIM)

Event date: 11 April 2024

Chronic enteropathy in dogs is a common clinical problem with a poorly understood pathogenesis. While most chronic enteropathy research to date has focused on immune cells, a broader view is needed so that patients can be better categorized and receive tailored treatments.

Research at Colorado State University has focused on transcriptomic studies of cells present in the duodenal mucosa of both healthy dogs and those with chronic enteropathy. In this session, Dr. Alison Manchester discusses the findings of her research and identifies potential future studies to enable individualized management of this disease.
