長毛あるいは黒っぽい毛色の猫は、短毛あるいは明るい毛色の猫よりもアレルギー反応を誘発しやすいという俗説があります。しかし、毛色と毛の長さは猫のアレルゲン産生に影響を与えません。

  • 研究から、被毛の長さ1～4 も、色1,5 も、Fel d 1の産生と家の中のFel d 1量に影響を与えないことが証明されています
