Chronic kidney disease is a leading cause of death in senior and geriatric cats. Most of what is known about the pathogenesis of chronic kidney disease in cats is extrapolated from human nephrology and experimental animal studies. Recently, Purina researchers analyzed data from multi-omics studies to evaluate the metabolic adaptations and molecular changes associated with chronic kidney disease progression in cats. In this presentation, Dr. Qinghong (Johnny) Li shares the findings from that analysis.
